Q: How do you pronounce Scheid?

Scheid is pronounced SHIDE, rhymes with “hide”. I blame my husband for the German name!

 

Q: How do I book a photography session?

You can call me at 651-998-9675 or e-mail me at amanda@scheidstudios.com and we will schedule a free pre-consultation meeting immediately. I really like to sit down and meet before booking the photo session so we can go over a client’s goals, attire, and any questions the client may have. I think this pre-consultation meeting is critical to making each session a success. At that time we will also go over the contract, policies, available packages & products I offer and possible locations. Once the contract is signed and I receive the non-refundable session fee, I will book the session and the ordering session that will take place two weeks after the session.

 

Q: What should I wear?

Clothes are such an important factor in a photo session, that once you book your session, Scheid Studios will arrange for a personal stylist to make a home visit to help you create the best look for your session free of charge. During her visit, she will look over your existing wardrobe and help create a look that will reflect  your personality. Having a professional help you choose the right outfit will not only give you a polished look but will give you the added assurance that you are looking your very best for your session. The personal stylist is not available for newborn photo sessions.

 

Q: Do you do maternity sessions?

Maternity sessions can only be booked as an add-on for $150 with a booked newborn session.

 

Q: Do you offer a baby plan for newborns?

The First Year Baby Plan is available for our youngest clients. It includes a maternity session for mom, a newborn session, a six month session, and a one year session. The First Year Baby Plan is $750, and includes four 5 x 7 prints matted into one 16 x 16 frame.

 

Q: What is the Artisan Session and how is it different from a regular portrait session?

 The Artisan Session is a highly stylized photo session that is custom tailored for each client. Does your daughter want to be a princess for a day? We can make it happen! Does your son love pirates? Let’s look for buried treasure! Mom, do you want to feel glamorous for a day? Let’s pamper you like you’re a movie star! Props, costumes, and imagination and will make a unique memory and experience for all. All Artisan Sessions include a custom designed album and a fine art print that is signed, matted and framed and will arrive with a certificate of authenticity. Commissioned work begins at $1500 for the Artisan Sessions.

 

Q: Do you shoot weddings?

 I do! I only do a select number of weddings per year, so please contact me at (651) 998-9675 or amanda@scheidstudios.com to see if your date is available.

 

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept cash, personal checks, money orders and all major credit cards.
